Wow! And the Winner...
Wow! Thank you all for commenting and entering my little drawing, I was overwhelmed with how many comments there were and your support of blogging and my photography! Equally fun was to read what color scheme ideas everyone has-if my family were getting their picture taken this season I don't know what we'd do...Noelle I wanted to run out and buy an Anthropology dress after your idea, all the white and pastels made me think Easter, Spring and linen (I love linen) . The classic simple colors made me want to go out to the fields of Madison and take pictures and Elissa, your ideas of bright colored hats or a pop of color made me want to find a fine knitter and have some whipped up for our family right away...and lime green, surprised at how many people said that, I love green. You all had great ideas!
I think I just may be doing another session giveaway in the future!
Now, on to the important announcement. I used random.org and the winner is:
Jodi!
Who wrote: Love your photography and would love a photo shoot of our family (just added a recent addition 5 weeks ago!)
Color scheme...maybe yellow, brown and white.
Keeping my fingers crossed :)
Congratulations! Email me to discuss possible dates!

My 1000 Post?! A Giveaway!
This is my one thousandth post!
I can hardly believe it! I started blogging July 2006 and at the time had no idea where it would take me. It has become my creative outlet, place to share and grow in photography, journaling, reconnecting and keeping up with old and new friends and keeping those far away up to date with us! There was a learning curve that came with blogging and I think I have found my balance-I thoroughly enjoy sharing it with you.

My reconnection with photography can be attributed mainly to blogging-strange, but true. So, because of that and you I wouldn't be where I am today with a green field photography, I would like to give away a free photo session! To enter, just leave a comment and I will draw one winner. Don't live in Alabama...keep reading I will be in Oregon and Washington in the coming months.
Details:
Free 45 minute photo session [children or family-one family only please]. Includes CD of 20+ edited images.
Location: One outdoor location in Madison, AL exclusively. If you live outside Madison [ie: Huntsville or surrounding area] you may choose a location in Madison.
If you live in Corvallis, OR or surrounding area, I will be in town the end of May thru the beginning of June. [Would need to travel to a Corvallis location.] Or, Covington, WA [Seattle area], I will be in town the beginning of June. [Would need to travel to/near a Convington location.]
Date: To be determined. [Must be flexible for weekday or weekend session.]
To Enter: Leave a comment and if you're feeling adventurous tell me: What color scheme would you go with if you were to get your family photographed today? (I'm very curious and maybe I'll get some ideas...) I will draw a winner Monday, March 9th 7 a.m. (Central Time).
Tell your friends & neighbors-good luck and thanks for stopping by and all your blogging support! I look forward to photographing you!

PC or Mac? A Giveaway!...(no, not giving away a computer-sorry)
I've been on the computer quite a bit this past year: editing, sifting through photos-lately all of 2008, organizing, moving folders around, etc... and I've been using both my Mac and my PC. Which made me wonder what most of you think? PC or Mac? What computer do you use? What do you prefer?
My first ever introduction was to a Mac in 4th grade playing Oregon Trail. Our family soon after bought a PC. In high school we used PCs, in college Macs. Mark and I have always had PCs until this past year. We now have Macs among us and I can't decide which one is better. I use both of my computers...some things I prefer on the PC and others on the Mac. I like whatever will get the job done...the fastest & easiest! Am I missing something I should know about either one that should sway my vote? Right now I stand in the middle. How about you?
Leave me a comment! I will randomly draw a name Thursday night 8 p.m. The winner will receive this collection of three of my favorite macro 8x10 prints from 2008.
