Going back already...

Back to school, tomorrow!

Operation, stop the bird. The cardinal continues to fly into the windows. This is our latest attempt to deter...it's not working!

That last picture made me laugh! And I can't believe your pictures of the suicidal bird! Poor thing is dreadfully confused.

I love Grant's lost tooth picture.

And Facebook, I was finally coaxed into joining, and.... it's alright. It's a better way to keep up with people who don't blog than using email. It was actually surprising to me how many old friends I found, crazy. It's like watching someone's life in fast forward. Facebook is another great time waster though, join with caution.

Are you glad to be going back? We are over here. The bird detraction is hysterical. I love all the pictures. Enjoy your day!

I think it is moreof a "ooooo, shiny" moment. Maybe putting the pics on the outside. They have been all over our backyard lately, chasing each other constantly.

I was just getting use to homeschooling them! I am kind of disappointed... At least summer is soon!

Oh, there is a bird at my sons school who does the same thing. They tried thing after thing, and I think they finally found something that works, since all the windows now have the same treatment. They took thick (1"?) ribbon like you use on presents and taped 12" strips all over the outside of the window. That and they did have some really bright colored paper taped up on the outside too. I guess between the two he's not running into anymore. Good luck!

The nature center here in town hangs CD's (the blank kind without any printing on them) in each of their big picture windows. I've always assumed it was to keep the birds from flying into them. Maybe that would work?

On a side note, I'm a fellow Corvallis native and found your blog through the Zahlmann's. I love your photography. Thanks for sharing.
