Avoiding Swine Flu

The local schools are closed because of cases of probable Swine Flu and at none other than Grant's school! There is even a positive case from his class. I got a personal phone call from the state health department enquiring about Grant, luckily he has not shown any symptoms and hopefully won't.

Needless to say the seven days off are going to be long. Grant and I did some homeschooling, he did lots of running around, found a huge beetle and put it in a jar...and some funny pictures.

Wish us luck with clean health and staying home!

Grant's two top teeth are very loose.

You got a call from the state health department? That's wild. It took me two hours to reach my little sister on the phone last night (the one who works for the CDC). She has been SWAMPED with work. I bet you'll have a lot of fun with Grant home this next little while.

Loose teeth? I hope you guys don't go crazy! How scary to have a case in his class! It's crazy how fast this area shut down huh? Well, at least you have a beetle in a jar!

I am laughing at myself because it sounds like my comment was about his teeth, instead of the swine flu. I should have separated the two a little better. I do think it's fun that he has loose teeth already though, but as far as going crazy, I meant from being home for seven days! k bye. :)

What great pictures you got today. Grant is growing up big time, isn't he? Hang in there this week, and if you get lonely in your imposed quarrantine, I'm just a phone call away :)

So are you really stuck at home for seven days? Are they canceling church? Guess summer vacation just got a little...lot closer. My kids think that you guys are celebrities to actually know someone with swine flu. Keep breathing in that healthy air. I'll send some ideas for you to do with Grant if you start to run out. I'm already getting nervous about summer break and I have a good month and half away.

Love you --
