I have mentioned before my dreams of having little scrunched up sleeping infant shots of Grace. She wouldn't have anything to do with that as a newborn and I didn't push for it too hard; I wish I had. She is growing so fast, sitting up and crawling seem around the corner so I decided to try once again to preserve my baby in time...sleeping. She was asleep and I had my set up ready. I put her down carefully, got her in somewhat of a comfy looking position. Click.
And that was it. I got one shot, there it is above. I'll take it. The following are what this little pill did milliseconds after hearing the shutter. Still tired...
What's going on Mom, what did I miss?
Let the spitting begin...
So, does anyone have a little one who will stay asleep scrunched up? If so, please come over!

oh, my gosh, I love them all, but the first one is just perfect. How beautiful.
You are certainly invited to my house to do a "scrunched up" photoshoot and to have snuggle time. I've had several snuggly babies which is good and bad. Nice to snuggle but not so nice when you wish you could lay them down in their own bed and get something done or sleep alone.
Love them all!
Great shots! Glad you got your one, beautiful, shot! She looks like such a happy baby! :)
That cracks me up! I love how kids come with their own unique personalities. Looks like Grace doesn't want to miss anything. Amazing shots!!
LOL!!! Zach use to sleep like a little stinkbug. In fact, if you ever want one of a handsome little boy sleeping scrunched up, he still does it! He has never not been in fetal position while sleeping.
She is adorable!!!
I am giggling at this -- she is too cute! I think you should be glad you caught those first waking moments. They are so happy then.
Can't wait to cuddle her (by then she'll be sitting up an don her way crawling, for sure!).
Amy
So cute. I love her waking up. So precious.
What a doll. I love her puckered up lips. I'm glad you got one sleeping shot. You gotta just smile that she's like that. She is so pretty.
That offer almost makes me want to get pregnant again to get some great newborn shots. The photos you captured are amazing, though. Especially your one-and-only. And, have I ever told you how gorgeous Gracie's eyes are?
Hey, the first one is IT! The next ones made me smile so big my mouth hurts. I don't know how you do it Kim, but you're good.
McCoy wouldnt do the cute sleeping scunched up baby thing either. I tried a few time and failed miserably. He is so not a snuggler and he has to know what is going on around him at all times. That first picture is beautiful, I am so glad that you at least got that one.
Personality plus! That is little Gracie! That's as bad as someone loving to style hair but their daughter won't have it- wait that's me! Actually, I can't complain since I did get a couple of years in there when Sydney was too young to complain. I guess you do have it worse. But Gracie is very curious and bright- good qualities in a child, but not so good for sleeping photos.
