After preschool this morning and some playing "talking cars" (this will get it's own posts one of these days.) Grant and I headed outside to tackle the wandering Bermuda grass that has crept into my flower bed and to plant some lilies our neighbor gave us. Hands down Grant's favorite flower in the garden is the Hibiscus:

No sooner than I am scouting out a place for the lilies and I see it.....
....go back in time a few days....remember our friend Charlotte? Well I noticed the other day it was no longer, not in the web, no where to be seen. Kicking myself for not getting the bug spray the instant I saw it the first time, now thoughts of that huge body inside my house!
.....now back to the present...there she was. New web spun, legs stretched and waiting. Right there in my beautiful flower garden, and in the spot where I need to do some weeding! I really don't know if it's the same spider, but it's definitely the same kind. Yuck.

Grant and I steered clear, got a few shots and finished enjoying a good couple hours of yard work and the outdoors.

THAT...Have I mentioned how much I love this boy? After I took a few pictures of him I kissed his head and he said, "Mom, how do you have the most squishy, soft lips in the whole world? Here let me feel them again..." as he pressed is cheek against my lips. I love him to pieces.

Gross about the spider. And could Grant be more adorable.
Okay, first of all...you have GOT to stop doing the spider shots! And it so does not make it more endearing by calling the nasty thing Charlotte...
Second...that is one of the cutest things I've ever heard! I'm jealous again! (see comment on Jen's blog) :)
That is so tender!
What a sweet boy! I think Grant and Ender would get along really well. They have those spiders in Hawaii. They are really beautiful but at the same time give me the heeby geeby's(Sp).
That is a most dangerous looking spider. Like a siren, beautiful to draw you in & then it destroys you. Very freaky.
YIKES, I think I'd walk around with the bug spray attached at the hip at ALL times. Grant is so loving and sweet, my hopes for Tanner. What is your secret to soft lips, lip balm?
I agree with Danakat, calling that thing Charlotte doesn't make it better, I am squirming in my seat, EW!
So sweet! Please get rid of that spider in the next couple of weeks : )
What a sweet thing for a little guy to say to his mommy! I actually hope you keep posting photos of Charlotte! It helps me appreciate the tiny little spiders that I encounter around here!
You know I hate spiders, but I have to admit I think the picture of Charlotte is rather striking. Look for the positives in things right :)
