Mr. Mom

This arrived the other day in the mail:

GREAT MOM AWARD Let is be known from this date MARK GREENFIELD is duly recognized as the Great Mom that she has been to her child. Furthermore, let it be down that this award has been bestowed in appreciation of her daily hugs and kisses. For her patience when healing bee stings and scraped knees. For her outstanding ability to maintain a sense of humor, and the courage she has displayed when presented with frogs, spiders and other such formidable creatures. And especially for the unsurpassed hours of love, laughter and learning she has so generously shared reading books with her child.

Wow! Great job Mark! How do you do it? Work at Boeing all day and accomplish the above listed too, while I sit around and eat my Ben & Jerry's lounging on the couch.

I do have to admit the last line is right on. Mark loves to read books to Grant and always has and Grant probably loves it even more. There was a lot of Father-Son time this weekend as I had fun at a friend's baby shower and then relished in my quiet time last night (watched re-runs of Law & Order) while Mark took Grant to a hockey game. What a great pair! And yes, Mark is a great "dad".

The day Grant was blessed.

I just loved the picture. Makes me nostalgic for your old apartment. I'm so happy that Mark is finally getting the recognition that he obviously deserves :0) I'm sure your award is in the mail.

People keep asking who sent this...it was some junk mail that I happened to open. Maybe because it said, "Great Mom Award"?
