100 Things About Me

When I started this blog I had no intentions of sharing any type of personal information whatsoever....I guess that didn't last too long. This is another challenge I got from yet, another blog and at first wasn't even going to attempt it. Then I thought it would be interesting to see if I could even think of 100 things about myself...of course nothing too personal. I was surprised at how easy it was, I guess if you're mostly listing likes and dislikes, like I did, then it wouldn't be too hard. So, here they are....a few things about me.

I challenge all my fellow bloggers to do the same and if you are not a blogger I challenge you to set up a blog! It takes about as much time as it did for me to write this list! (Hint, hint, Diana).

1.I’m second of 5 children
2.I’m 31 years old, but like to think I feel way younger
3.I have taken 10 years of piano lessons, but can’t really play the piano
4.Alabama is the fourth place I’ve lived (recently moved from Seattle, WA area)
5.I have almost been married 10 years


6.I have one child, a four year old son who I adore


7.I love taking pictures, always have, but recently gotten back into it
8.I love to oil paint and wish I would do it more
9.I love most anything related to art
10.I always wanted to be an elementary art teacher growing up
11.I have an elementary education degree
12.My minor was art
13.I taught third grade for one year and sixth grade for four years
14.If I were to go back to college I would want to get my MFA
15.I absolutely loved my college experience, socially and academically
16.I never really dated until Mark, but had an amazing group of friends
17.My first job (besides babysitting) was picking blue berries, then working in the blue berry shed for three summers
18.I worked at my dad’s dental office during high school and college
19.I love to travel
20.I did a travel abroad to Australia & New Zealand when I was in high school
21.I was born in Okinawa, Japan
22.My parents took me to Denmark, Sweden, Germany, Prague a few years ago to travel and visit my sister who was studying there
23.I’ve been to Hawaii three times, twice with Mark once on my own in college to visit my friend, Sara. We hich- hiked all over the island of Kauai and camped on the beach.


24.I honeymooned in Jamaica


25.I would like to go to Africa and more of Europe
26. Mark and I love road trips and have traveled all over the western United States and Canada
27.Two summers ago we traveled the Canadian Rockies camping for two weeks with our son


28.I’m deathly afraid of bears
29.I love to hike, but not climb (I’m afraid of heights).

33.My brother married Mark’s sister and we were both married the same summer

46.I am not a natural or talented runner, it’s something I have had to work very hard at
47.I’ve run two half marathons… trained for a marathon, but the weekend I ran my 20 miles found out I was pregnant with Grant
48.I would like to run a marathon someday
49.I ran a 50 mile relay race last year with friends from Mt. Rainier to the Puget Sound
50.I would like to have more children
