1. Egg Nog or Hot Chocolate? Hot Chocolate!
2. Does Santa wrap presents or just set them under the tree? Growing up a little of both (depended on the present). Now, usually wrapped-or in a case like this year, Fed Ex wrapped and came early!
3. Colored lights on tree/house or white? Simple-white on the outside and inside. Although this year we put colored lights on the tree (everything is still in storage) and I thought Grant would like the color.
4. Do you hang mistletoe? Not usually. We did at my parent’s house.
5. When do you put your decorations up? The weekend after Thanksgiving.
6. What is your favorite holiday dish (excluding dessert)? Rolls and my mom's cheese soup.
7. Favorite Holiday memory as a child. Everything! Christmas has always been special and fun. Being with ALL the family; cousins, grandparents, aunts and uncles; the progressive dinner.
8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa? Don't remember, probably around 5th grade?
9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve? Growing up we'd always open one gift on Christmas Eve; pjs from Grandma and Grandpa "B".
10. How do you decorate your Christmas tree? With all our "kid" ornaments. Both moms gave Mark and me our ornaments from growing up (we both accumulated one a year) so we have quite a few. Mark loves it. I would like a "fancy" tree. We will have two trees next year in our new house!
11. Snow! Love it or Dread it? Love a few days of it.
12. Can you ice skate? Yes, but not very well. One year on Christmas Eve Mark and I went ice skating in Eugene with my family. We thought it would turn into a tradition, but the rink wasn't open the following year.
13. Do you remember your favorite gift? All gifts are special. People have always been very generous and I've always felt happy and blessed.
14. What's the most important thing about the Holidays for you? Remembering what it's really about; Our Savior, Jesus Christ and spending time with family.
15. What is your favorite Holiday Dessert? All of it! I can't think of just one item. At our family progressive dinner we would so many choices (pies, ice cream, cookies, cake, etc.)
16. What is your favorite holiday tradition? The progressive dinner-we are not at home this year for that though. Mark started the tradition of watching, "It's a Wonderful Life" on Christmas Eve.
17. What tops your tree? A shiny Santa Claus that Mark and I bought at Rice’s Pharmacy the first year we were married.
18. Which do you prefer giving or receiving? I enjoy both! I love to shop, so it's fun picking out presents I think a person would enjoy. I love to be able to surprise Mark...but that's hard to do!
19. What is your favorite Christmas Song? That's a hard one. I don't think I have just one: Silent Night, Holly Jolly Christmas, Away in A Manger, Joy to the World, The First Noel....I could go on. I think pretty much all of them.
20. Candy Canes! Yuck or Yum? Yum to have a bite, yuck to eat too much.
I am tagging Amy, Angela and Leslie!
