A Good Day

Woohoo! They broke ground on our house and have started! We are very excited about this. The plumbing is supposed to be put in on the 27th. (The foundation is slab, so the plumbing runs through the slab.) I'm anxious to see how the house will be situated on our property, it looks as if it will go pretty close to the trees in back, thus our side yard will be the bulk of the "yard". I'm hoping to get a link set up to post pictures of the progress rather than posting them here.

We have a busy week ahead. I'm hosting Joy School tomorrow, making rolls for Mark's work potluck, we are going to see the lights at the Botanical Gardens tonight with a couple other families, enrichment tomorrow night, scouts on Wednesday and then Thanksgiving! We are missing family at this time, but are being well cared for here; we had a couple invites to dinner. I was explaining to Grant about Thanksgiving and said because we moved away from our family we will be eating dinner with some friends. He was very upset about the moving away part....he doesn't quite understand the distance from Alabama to Oregon.

I'm waiting pretty impatiently for the apartment people to hopefully come and switch out our dryer today (the heater on the one here isn't working).

I can't believe you still don't have a dryer. Whoohoo on your house!

I miss you!
