This & That

Resident Rabbits & Hibiscus:
We have some cute resident rabbits, we first noticed a couple months ago. They always seem to be under Grace's window and we look out and see how cute they are, we've even seen a baby. Yesterday evening I went to peruse my very poorly tended flower garden and as I neared Grace's window where the Hibiscus is planted....I thought someone has come into our yard and cut my Hibiscus! I immediately called Mark and he pointed out that it was probably the rabbits and why would someone come into our backyard to cut it down. I quickly felt guilty for thinking mean thoughts about our neighbors and said, I guess those rabbits aren't so cute after all! Any suggestions?

On The Move!

Grace started rolling over Tuesday and hasn't stopped. Every time we set her down she rolls over! It's funny, because she grunts and squeals and once on her stomach isn't very happy, but seems to want to keep doing it. If I knew how to get the video off our video recorder, it would be inserted here. Pictures will have to do.

Right after I got done taking these pictures, she rolled from her stomach to her back again! I think she might be an active one! And yes, we are well aware of her duck tail on the back of her head...she is completely bald now with a nice little suck tail, which will be cut shortly if it doesn't go away.

Grace really is a joy and quite happy. She is growing every day, just about bald and drools like her brother. What do you think now...here is a picture of Grant and Grace, both at three months of age.

Grant snapped a picture of me eating Grace!

What are we doing the day after, the day after, the day after:
Grant is having fun this summer playing with lots of friends. We've had more play dates in the last little bit than in a long time. I really should work on the calendar with him as he is constantly asking what we're doing every day of the week, numerous times a day! He enjoyed a full day with Mark last Saturday at the Air Show! Fat Albert and The Blue Angels were his favorite.

Grant's second tooth is close to popping out any day now. He continues to be my helper and I was happy to have a companion helping in the yard this afternoon. The bunny incident at least got me out looking at how bad the yard is and prompted some tending with Grant (Grace hung out in the swing).

Here he is resting:

Have I mentioned how much I love this boy?

Upcoming Activities:
We don't have any super plans for the fourth, but hopefully it will be fun.

We're off to Utah next weekend for a family reunion with Mark's family. I'm trying to gear myself up for the travel again, it will be a very quick weekend.

Life seems to be as busy as ever and school is fast approaching for Grant. He starts August 6th. My list of things to accomplish when Grant goes to school is getting longer and longer by the day. Mark is switching to the 9-80 schedule, meaning he will have every other Friday off! I was excited because that means from time to time I could go help at Grant's school.

Happy Red, White and Blue!

Wow! Grant starts school in a month. Time just seems flying by. I love the side by side of Grant and Grace -- they are a matched set.

Love,
Amy

PS: I'll take rabbits over possums any day.

Love love love the bottom picture of Grant. The grow old too fast. That will be nice 1 on 1 time with you and Grace. They look so much a like Kim. Gracie is a female softer version of Grant. Those baby blues are killer!

It doesn't seem right to start school so early does it. I remember not starting until after Labor Day in Oregon.
I can't believe Grace is already rolling over. She is such a doll.

I'm sure you'll be too busy to stop by once you are in Utah- but you are welcome to visit if you can! Just let me know if you happen to be heading north of Salt Lake City and I could meet you somewhere. I understand the school starting early because of year-round schedules- but this year both of my kids are finally on a traditional schedule at a local charter school! Yeah! I had to laugh at Amy's comment about the possums. Just remember- they are cute but multiply rapidly!
