One Month & On Our Own...

Photobucket

Today Gracie is four weeks old! Today was the first day of being a mother of two...all by myself (we've had family in town for the past month)! We survived and accomplished some good things today: both kids bathed, mom showered, some picture taking, laundry, dishes, outing to the post office and park, even mended a few items with a needle and thread, and actual dinner for when dad got home! I have to write down this accomplishment, as I foresee future days of staying in and getting little to nothing done.

These two little people make me so happy!

You have the cutest little kids. Grace is one of the cutest infants I have seen. Congrats on all you got done. Take it all one day at a time. You are amazing!

Good work little Mama! Isn't that the most empowering feeling, having so much accomplished? The first time I went out with both kids I thought I had transformed into superwoman.

I love how much Grant loves his little Grace. I could see it the day she was blessed. So precious.

Okay, so I don't usually like feet. Ick. But that picture of all your little feetsies is just cute!

Congrats are in order! Don't be too hard on yourself about the days you don't get much done though. I'm sure it's tough!

I love the feet shot.

Sometimes the days you "get nothing done" are the days spent most productively. I have learned that little days of resting and spending with the kids in their pajamas all day are some of the most enjoyable. Of course the laundry continues to beckon, but it can always be done the next day.
Congrats on accomplishing so much. I remember I actually had to ask Shawn for a blessing before I was left home with 2 for the first time. I was so scared. But you are a great Mama!!
I was thinking of making some bling for you and Baby Grace, but it looks like you have a bunch! Is there anything you don't have that you would like for her??

You should pat yourself on the back! What a busy day.

Cute kiddos! I like the feet pics. I love little kid feet and to have them next to the mama's that's sweet!

Good job! On those not to productive days, someone told me to remember that I keep a baby alive and well. The other things will be there tomorrow.

I like how you wrote down your accomplishments. Sometimes I think how silly it must be to Birch would I list off the rooms I vacuumed, number of stores I took the kids to, bums I wiped, etc... I think I need validation sometimes that what I am doing, though it doesn't seem to always show counts for something.

Grace already looks so much older in these shots. I LOVE the hair flower thing in the last shot!!

Your kids are so cute. What sweet pictures. And I am so amazed at how much you got done on your first day alone. I survived mine!
