Macro Monday - feeling grateful...and some journaling
A flower Grant picked for me today:
I had a great weekend. Friday Mark and I went out to eat with some friends, while Grant was in heaven playing with other kids and a babysitter. Saturday some wonderful friends through me a baby shower and I literally felt showered...by love, by celebration, by friendship, by gifts and happiness. Thank you for sharing in our anticipated joy! Yesterday was a good day of reflection. We have some changes coming up in our life and Mark and I were giving it much thought and pondering yesterday. Mark made a delicious fettuccine alfredo dinner after church. (You can get the Olive Garden recipes online (click here)...and it was pretty darn close-yum!)
All this added with being in my last month of pregnancy has left me pretty emotional today. I am reminded of how much I am blessed. Some thoughts of late:
-life is a miracle & a gift
-change is good
-blessings do pour from above
-family matters most
-struggles refine, do what is right
-posterity is precious
-southern hospitality and good friends
-be prepared
-love
-recognize blessings

Sounds like you are surrounded by great friends in Alabama! When is your actual due date? How exciting. I can't wait to see your little angel!
Love your list of gratitude! When we first got married we kept a gratitude journal for about three years. It got me through some hard days--sometimes just trying to think of something to be grateful for is all you need to do to get out of a slump.
Thanks Kim!
I enjoyed your thoughts! Thanks for sharing, you are the best!
Beautiful thoughts, Kim!
Can I just say Thanks for the gratitude reminder, especially today. I am usually quick to recognize things so simple and fulfilling. For the past 24 hours, that has been harder for me. I don't know how you must feel, but I am so thankful for life right now!!
Love the list. We all need those reminders. Thanks for that!
You, my friend, are a good example.
I teared up reading your list..my thoughts have been along the same lines many times lately, but you say it so well!
