We Survived
Before going to bed last night I asked Mark how we'd know if a tornado came, since we didn't have a weather radio. Well, if the thunder, lightening and the blazing sirens won't do it I don't know what will. About 3:30 a.m. sirens were going off. We got up and Mark checked the news. I went and sat by Grant's bed, debating whether to wake him or not. He is terrified to say the least of tornados and left preschool crying Monday becuase the moms were talking about them and the possibility of one coming last night-this would of scared his little pants off by far! By the time Mark finished gathering info from the news the storm had pretty much passed us the sirens stopped. We probably should of gone to our safe place, as today at a store a woman was telling me there was 'tornado activity' just a couple miles from our home. Why did we move to Alabama?

Hunter would have been wanting to find out where the tornado was. Glad everything calmed down.

Nothing feels better than knowing you are safe and snug in your own bed. Glad you guys made it though ok! Nothin' like a little excitement!!
So glad you are safe and nothing happened. There doesn't seem to be a perfect "weather-free" place....otherwise I'd live there, with one less worry each night! Where is your safe place?
Oh my goodness! Sirens and everything. Way too nerveracking for me! I'm glad you're OK!!!!! And yes, Why did you move there? Why don't you go ahead and move yourself right on back!!!!!! Then all you have to worry about is Mr. Rainier blowing up. :)

You've moved to Alabama for our benefit Kim! Now who doesn't mind a little 3:30 am drama every now and then. It keeps life interesting. At least we're not freezing our pants off like the people in Minnesota.
I agree with the post above- where can you go that doesn't have mother nature send a few clouds, or floods, or earthquakes etc.? Where you and I grew up in Oregon was pretty mild, but I am allergic to all the mold!!! :)
