Updates

To blog or not to blog....is the question so many of us ask from time to time. Finding the blogging balance is to each her own. I have enjoyed the outlet it has created for me in many aspects, one being to record and journal about life. A friend recently figured out how to blurb her blog into a book and it turned out great. This is one aspect I love about blogging and can't wait until she teaches me the little tricks on how to make the blurb work (I've tried before, but have failed).

But the quest to manage the ever changing list of people who have a blog is a little overwhelming. There is not enough time in a day to keep up, nor do I want to spend my time all day looking and commenting....now if I could ever get my google reader thingy working correctly it might help a bit. So, for now I've updated my connections list and categories as to be better organized. Go make sure your link works correctly, if I accidentally left you off or want to be added...it's not on purpose- leave me a comment or email and I'll put you back on. When all this blogging nonsense started, Mark was skeptical of how long it would last....sometimes I wonder too, if the day will come and it will be no longer. Until then...its fun catching up, finding out, sharing and finding the fine balance of it all!

A weather update and few pictures:

It was a beautiful afternoon yesterday, almost spring like! Grant was outside playing...

...(outfit change half way through playing, to switch to baseball-Go Beaves!)

(Yes, that's Alabama grass in the winter brown and ugly. We caved in and called a lawn service to help get rid of those green patches that aren't supposed to be there!)

Have a great day!

Who would have thought the green wasn't supposed to be there ;). So, does it turn back to beautiful green?

I understand about the whole blogging thing. I have started to check them not as often, too, and I don't leave as many comments.

I have tried blurb too. I am a bit overwhelmed with it as it scanned in everything from the beginning....which seems way too big to start out with.

My question for your friend....how long did it take her to make her 112 pages AND did she have, only, 112 posts or how many did she have AND...how long did it take her...OK so that was a few questions...

I use Sage feed through Firefox. Saves sooooo much time.

Isn't that a good question? I think blogging can be fun but it also can be a giant can of rotting worms. Let's just say "comments" is the trickiest of tricks in the blogging world.

I have been feeling that lately about blogging!I was just thinking the other day to keep my commenting and/or checking others blogs to once a week so that it doesnt feel all so overwhelming.

I have Kim to thank for the whole thing...she was the one who told me about it.

Holy cow, you have a lot of friends! Did you just make an entirely different blog for your friends and then link in on your regular page?

Glad my blog can entertain you!

I think too many people are putting too much pressure on themselves -- there is no right amount or wrong amount to blog. I love the idea that I am in contact with so many people I love and that I am keeping a regular history of my own family (I certainly wasn't journal writing at this magnitude for YEARS).

Relax and enjoy the Alabama sun, your growing tummy, and your two handsome boys!

I agree with Sara. Love the fact that I'm actually writing down some of the things that our family is up to. I also love catching up with friends and family.

I agree with them too (everyone). It's a great thing for us now that we are so far away from our family....
