There Is Beauty All Around

It's that time. In a matter of a week, the vibrant colors will start to fade and continue to drop. I love waking up each morning and looking out to see the beautiful colors. I have decided that the red is my favorite. I was hoping our forest would hold out a bit longer until my family arrived for Thanksgiving, but I think it's ready to show it's glory.

I love Fall, I've written about it before. It's by far my favorite time of year; the colors, the smells, the feelings and holidays it brings. "There is beauty all around, when there's love at home...." is a hymn we sing often and that I enjoy at church. My home has been filled to the brim, overrunning with love this past month. I have had dear friends and family filling every nook, their laughter, smiles and warmth were wonderful. Mark, Grant and I snuggled in bed early this morning just the three of us all by our lonesome again....it felt so good. We love being a family. We love our family members and friends so dear they are family. There is beauty in these relationships and my heart is full today.

Wow! Those pictures are so beautiful. You have been so fortunate with all your visitors. I can't wait to see your pictures of Thanksgiving. No Thanksgiving in Korea. They do have other holiday's that are similar though.

So today at Break-the-Fast (how 'Singles Ward' is that?) I was talking to one of my friends about Thanksgiving and she brought up to the table the fact that I was going to Arkansas. I laughed and told her it was actually Alabama and she said "What's the difference?!" I have to admit I kinda agree with her...despite that I am super excited for the fact that in exactly 2 weeks you and I will be sitting in your house gabbing! (no early bedtime for you when I'm there!)

I so have to comment on your sister's comment...Alabama is most definitely it's own beautiful state. Are you kidding?! Jumbling us in with Arkansas is almost as bad as confusing us with Mississippi. Ewww! You silly northerners just can't understand Bama Beauty until you've indulged in it personally. Once you're here...you won't be so flippant about the south. :)

I'm laughing a bit...have to admit, I would of thought the same thing before moving here. I can now appreciate Bama Beauty...thus this post! (But my heart still belongs to the beautiful Pacific Northwest!)
