Friday Fun

As I was trying to simplify my blog yesterday I perused my photo blogs of note and as I always do, stared in awe of the simple beauty these photographers catch. The photos that take my breath away are the simple ones. Simple in subject, expression and composition....as if these photographers were flies on the walls with super telephoto lenses capturing moments that are truly raw. This is my Friday Fun tip, to get out and try to capture something simple.

Often I just watch Grant through the lens (he's so used to it by now I'm sure he thinks it's just part of my face) and wait...until he's not looking, or when he looks up at me at that moment of wanting to tell me something or answer a question I might have asked....I think those are the moments that have made it....real.

Here are a few photos that never made it to a post, but I felt were simple in some way. Maybe they touch me, because of who they capture...

Have a simply wonderful weekend!

Hmmmm...to simplify...how exactly do I start that?
Although I think we all have different levels of what that is in our lives. Pretty neat, huh?

Thanks.

Love that first shot! A great message...one that I think is naturally hard to do.

The simple pictures are my favorite too, although I feel like I am not very good at capturing them. I think you have a talent and a gift for capturing the simple.

I took your advice and tried to simplify my blog as well. I did it by changing the background so that it isn't so busy. I also like to simplify by going through drawers and closets and de-junking. Then I give it to DI. Guess what? We're getting a new camera with a recent bonus Ryan got. I'm so excited! I am letting Ryan do the research on which type/features to get. Love your pics!
