A Day On The Town...

Today my mom Grant and I were out and about nonstop first thing in the morning until the evening, we found some hidden treasures of Huntsville to shop at and Mark and I were able to go on a date this evening!

So, those of you Hunstvillians or Madisonions (or whatever we're called) if you haven't been to some of the following places....go! First we went to Southerland Station an amazing toy, train and art store. If you have a child of who loves toys, loves trains even more and a mom who loves art...you have a perfect match! After about an hour in the toy store we headed out and a little place caught our eye, The English Table. If you are obsessed or even sort of like china, cool place settings, pottery, table linens and serving utensils...this is the place for you! Everything was simply beautiful and tasteful and even if you don't want to spend two hundred dollars on a gorgeous table linen you just have to have (no, I didn't...but could of)...you need to go just to hear the "English gentleman" who owns the shop talk and describe everything exquisitely!

On to the other side of the mountain we stopped at Hobby Lobby, need I say more? Then a A Nurturing Moment and on to Waffle House for lunch so my mom could get a waffle with pecans.

Now, normally Grant and I would be heading home...but no, our day is just beginning. Off to the other side of town to Costco, where you'll never guess what I found! Harry and David's Moose Munch AND TILLOMOOK CHEESE! I was so thrilled. As we are not Costco members (we were at one time, but realized we'd always come home with WAY too much stuff...never renewed) I took advantage of my mom's card and stocked up.

I need to mention that in between all these stores I am stopping at any craft store or Home Depot in desperate search for 'large suction cups to hang wreaths from our windows on the house' and they are NO WHERE to be found (in other words, everyone else has beat me to them!).

On to a book store and then Posh Mommy...all I need to say is cute, adorable and I need one of the rockers from this store! I will be going back!

Two more stops at Walgreen and Rite Aid...still no luck with the suction hooks for my wreaths....

An evening with Mark. We dined at a very nice restaurant, Bone Fish Grill.

Grant all the while having a fabulous time with Nana!

Whew, what a day! My mom is leavning tomorrow afternoon, it's been so great having so many visitors these past couple months...only a few more weeks and it will be our turn to visit family in Oregon!!

Wow.
I think I'm jealous.

And have you thought about using
3M hooks for your wreaths. We use them every year and they just come right off...no problem.

I LOVE Southerland's Station, that's where I had to get all my supplies for my school projects. I took Tyson there and he was a kid ALL over again! :)

Sounds like you really had a great time. I wish I could go shopping like that too. Looks like you guys are going to have a busy rest of the year. Hope all is going well. Are you thinking pink or blue? Do you know yet?

Carden was invited to a party at Southerland Station a couple years ago, and I figured I'd take Emma to McD's while we waited for the party to be over, but ended up spending the entire time in the store! IT is so much fun! I'll have to try out some of these other places as well!

I used to hang wreaths on my windows in NC those command hooks. They work great and reusable every year!
