Friday Fun - let the kid take some pictures

Nothing too deep or thought provoking this Friday, just some fun...especially if you have children. The old camera was laying out after the boys trip, so I asked Grant if he'd like to take some pictures with it. Off he went around his room and the house, totally un-prompted in his picture taking experience. I was impressed and amused with what he captured. Here is a little sampling...life and pictures through a child's eye. Let your child try...see what they capture!

Garbage truck:

Red wagon:

I don't know, but thought it was cool:

Sock monkey:

Grant-self portrait. This cracked me up, he put the camera on the counter and quickly pushed the button and stood to get a shot of himself: (remember none of this was prompted)

Mom's tummy, Grant surprised me coming out of the bathroom:

Our backyard (notice the fence posts!):

My favorite:

Mom:

*p.s. after I posted this I noticed my friend, Jennifer had the exact same Friday post...her cute little T went around taking pictures yesterday too! And we were both wearing striped shirts...hmmmm. See, get those cameras out for the kids!

Here's some more sunshine coming your way! Happy Friday, have a great weekend!

I love it! He's been watching his mommy...you can tell with some of those shots. It must be in his blood. That is a great shot of you, by the way.

I love love love this sunflower! Can I print it and frame it for the girls' bathroom? Actually, would you mind just doing a whole series for me? I only need 5 more.

I'm feeling a little bad right now. Last night I noticed that the camera case was laying out in the basement. I asked the boys if they had taken the camera without asking--YES, they had. I got after them telling them that they can only use the camera if they ask (which they probably new I would say no). Anyway, I went up and erased all of their pictures; deeming them not important.

Bad mommy.

I love the one that Grant took of you!

I am amazed at the sky picture and the picture of you and himself! It appears Grant will have your photo eye!

Great job Grant! Love the pictures you took of your Mom and the sky!

Are you all putting the fence in yourself? If so, your DH was supposed to let my DH know when he was doing this so he could help and then your dh was supposed to help us put ours in - darn dh's! We have a nail gun, nails and a compressor to make the job go faster if you need them!

How funny is it that both you and Jen had the same idea... I actually found Carden's camera yesterday, so she has been walking around snapping non-stop. I'll have to post some of her pics. What a funny coincidence!

I agree with you on letting the kids once in a while taking the camera for a spin. Sydney loves doing this and probably would do it everyday if I let her. I finally got her a cheap ($20) digital camera from Walmart for her eighth birthday. She went around taking shots and then we downloaded them. Then she tried it again and the camera wouldn't work! Darn cheap cameras! Now it sometimes works and then stops. Oh, Well.
