Here's another post for those family and friends who share the joys in the mundane things in life like getting a fence! Now Grant can roam care free and we have a little more privacy. We had a small picket put in back as not to block our view of our forest.

Arbor:

Side yard:

Mark's parent's are coming tomorrow and one of the projects he and his dad will work on is a deck extension off our patio.

Smaller side yard, future sight of our raised garden beds.

Good grief! Your yard looks flippin huge in these pictures!
I love the arbor!
And I can't wait for some fun cook-outs when the deck is done! :)
Shawn is talking a lot now about starting our deck, and I can't wait!! Your fence and arbor look great!!
Looks fabulous! You guys will love the freedom and privacy a fence gives!
LOOKS GREAT! I can't believe how big your yard looks!
Looks great!
Looks good. We just got our back fence up. Our yard isn't half the size of yours, I bet Grant loves it. Hope all is well.
My grass envy just escalated to yard envy! Looks great! I can't wait to get my yard in, the weeds are returning....ARGH!
Congrats!
Amy
Fences and decks are so not mundane. Looks great! Are you just so ecsited?
A house and a yard... someday. It looks fantastic Kim. I like the fence you chose- your house looks fantastic! I'm a huge fan of the black shutters.
Safety, privacy, freedom- well worth the price we pay for fences isn't it! I just wish we had known about rolling the price of a fence into the mortgage when we built! I love the arbor! I agree with Emily, the black plantation shutters look great. They offer contrast, something my house needs. I want to paint our front door black and add shutters someday. What size is your lot? Looks like about 1/2 acre.
Wow - getting a lot of work done! Nice that Mark can do it himself. Fences can be amazingly expensive, yet such a necessity! Love the arbor.
