Don't Forget Me

As Grant and I were sitting eating rolls yesterday afternoon he looked at me and said, "I will miss you when I go....promise never to forget me." How could I forget my sweet, sweet boy! I will miss him like crazy!

Four dear friends are coming to visit all the way here, to Alabama in a couple days! One from Ohio, one from Texas, one from Oregon and one from Washington. We grew up together in Corvallis and cherish the friendships that developed way back when and have remained close all these years. A couple years ago we had a get together on the Oregon coast....as time was approaching for another much needed retreat it ended up at my house! (Don't I have great friends?) So, for the next few days I will be out of commission from blogging (not from taking pictures of course), but I will be too busy giggling, eating, lounging, laughing, crying (the happy kind), in my pjs all day and relaxing. So be sure to check back next week to see what these "gals" were up to!

Where will my two boys be? Not here (too many hens in the hen house as Mark put it); they are off to Southern California to visit family and do the Disney thing. I will miss them, but am excited for their one on one time together. Grant is beyond excited and has been waiting for months now for his trip to see cousins, his great grandma and go to Disneyland.

Fall is beginning to show here. One day it's crisp and cool and then the next it's 90 degrees (like yesterday), but the trees out back have started to change. I enjoy just sitting and watching the trees, looking at the colors, leaves, wind.....it's so very serene.
