Remember the beautiful B's? This one had her hair cut for a cause this past week. What a brave and wonderful thing to do to raise awareness for Leukemia. Her mom told me about the experience: "For B's hair we are donating it to locks of love but we did it at the "Light the Night" walk here in Huntsville for The Leukemia and Lymphoma society. It is a fundraising event to help in the research and cure finding studies for leukemia and lymphoma. As a family we participated in raising money and doing the walk where you carry illuminated balloons, red in memory of someone and white if you are a survivor. The walk was right at dusk and it looked neat to see all of the lit balloons. They do a little program and B went up on stage and had her hair cut. It was a really neat experience for our whole family"
The website for the event is: http://www.lightthenight.org

She looks darling with her new haircut and it was fun to take some pictures of her! Not to mention Grant enjoyed playing with her and the rest of the B's this afternoon!

LOVE IT!!
And speaking as a childhood Leukemia survivor who lost ALL her hair...B's sacrifice and gift will mean the world to some precious girl.
Kim, thanks for capturing this special event.
These pictures have so many good autumn colors in them. Maybe everything is making me think of autumn. The kiddos are adorable. What a fabulous thing for that little lady to do with her hair. I love the new cut.
What a brave little girl and an example for all of us!
What darling little kids. The colors are so vibrant and crisp. I love it!
really cute. Love the poses. Love the crisp red colors.
What cute kiddos, and how cool that you got to document such a cool thing for this beautiful little girl and her family.
I love the first shot the best. It is so great that at such a young age B will know what it is to help/change someone's life. One person....well, kid, can make a difference!
Just wanted to say...
I am LOVING that hat on BuddyDude!!
I need to go smoosh him.
kim, you are amazing-you captured it perfectly for me, I can't thank you enough.
looking again...you know what I think is adorable? The little blop of red nail polish on her finger in the first picture. So little girl!
You know, I check your blog all of the time, and I don't know how I get in on things so late...I love the pictures -- my favorite is the last one.
The kids at my high school participated in the same awareness day. Is she giving her hair to locks of love?

So precious! What a cool thing to get photographed so well too. She'll just love it years down the road.
That is beyond wonderful. I love supporting good causes like that. I hope my kiddos can appreciate soemthing like that soon. Wonderful pics, too!
