The other day my friend Cami called me and said, "Kim, I was watching Martha Stewart and they had this alphabet photo idea that made me think of you." Boy, was she right, what a super fun photography activity! This is my Friday Fun for this week....get out those cameras and head out to the city, country, backyard or wherever and try to find items and shapes that look like letters! Grant LOVED this! We headed off for preschool this morning with cameras in tote, looking the whole way there to get ideas for letters. After preschool we took our cameras in search for Grant's name. He had so much fun snapping pictures as well as I did. Here is the Martha link, it's Monday, Oct. 22nd show.
Mark's parents are coming this evening and I have many things yet to finish up before they come, but I cannot pull myself away from these pictures. I had an idea of where I wanted to go to take the letter pictures, but little did I know what a gold mine of doorways and old sheds I would find! Definitely my new favorite place....thus indulge me in the very long picture post of some pretty cool backgrounds...with a pretty cute little boy! I hope you enjoy as much as I did.

And finally, lastly......this is where I sat and took a picture of Grant, taking this picture of me (click to enlarge).

With company coming to town I may be a little slow in blogging....see you soon!

Very Cool! I love the urban setting!
Fun Idea!
I love your letters. I've been waiting anxiously for them. We found some at the park the other day. Can't wait to see and find more.
I LOVE this idea. I'm totally going to do it if you don't mind. I have visions of doing Isaac's name in his room on wrapped canvas or something. Love it.
Also, these may be my favorite pictures so far!
How cool are the letters and all the backgrounds!! I love the pic of Grant taking the pic of you because you can see his little smile. Fun fun.
Very cool idea. I love that you found things that looked like letters, not just looking for the obscure letter itself. Super creative.
When you set up your photography website for people to buy prints, you could include one series of letters in this urban B&W style and another of nature-style colorful letters. Then people buy the letters to make the words they want. Pretty soon you'll be a millionaire and able to move back to a house in the Northwest!!
Super cute, as always!
Of course, you would find letters in piping. I'm excited to see what other letters you discover. Let me know if you find letters for the names of my kids. I can be one of your first customers.
LOVE IT! LOVE IT! LOVE IT!
I actually saw that MS show. And as soon as we have a name for our little guy, I am doing that too.
I love all these pictures you took, so fun!
I LOVE it! I really like the last picture of you too :0) Can't wait to see all these fun places in person. Do I get my own photo shoot. HA! -D
