Neighbors, Cookies, Trucks & Stuff

There is a new family from church that moved in up the street. Grant and I took them some cookies earlier this week. When we arrived they were out playing with the neighbors little car...Grant didn't want to come home after that!

This week has seemed long to me already. Maybe it's because I'm looking forward to our anniversary date this weekend! Some of you asked what we're doing to celebrate 10 blissful years of marriage....well we did the big deal actually this past September, remember, we went to Hawaii! Not that I wouldn't of mind going again or be somewhere in Mexico lounging on the beach....a date night will definitely do. And Mark brought me home some beautiful flowers, sent me on a scavenger hunt with clues that made me feel loved to find a huge vase I've been wanting for my kitchen....it was one I had seen the first month we moved to Alabama and as soon as I saw it I exclaimed, "that reminds me of our wedding cake"...it's perfect!

Now, on to other 'stuff'...I haven't mentioned my latest goal, as not to jinks myself. But, it's a done deal, I have signed up to run a half marathon the end of September in Murfreesboro, AL! My friend, Jennifer and her husband are running it as well.....so this morning Jennifer and I got up at the crack of dawn to beat the heat and ran 8 miles! I have run two half marathons before, so you would think I would be confident, but as many of you know I am not a natural born athlete nor an athlete even when I train and train.....so butterflies are already in my stomach and let the rigorous exercise begin! It's good for me....please send happy running thoughts my way!

I know without a doubt you will do fine on the marathon! What an accomplishment when you finish! I understand butterflies though :). I am sure you'll update us later on your date and then the marathon...I was missing you at the Lake yesterday and was thinking that last year it was about the time your were getting ready to leave...:(

Cool vase! I love how it will remind you of your wedding cake.

I'd have to agree with everyone--you amaze me. I am in awe with your determination to do these marathons when they are not in born.
