A while ago Leah told me about these actions you can buy....so I did....and what a great investment! As just mentioned, actions are steps you can download right into Photoshop (most actions are compatible with Photoshop CS, not Elements, but I have seen a few that work with Elements) and with a click of a button have the color, saturation, light changed just like that. So, for a Photoshop trainee in learning this is great!!! I have had fun playing around with the actions... Is this cheating a little, probably. Do I always use the actions you may wonder....no I don't. It's fun to give a color pop quickly if you want, but you also loose that control of manipulating the photo all on your own. My macros I rarely use an action and the photos I edited yesterday of the girls I used a few actions, but not with every photo. Sometimes the action will overdo what your trying to accomplish and many times a photo doesn't need to be manipulated that much. Here is a picture using soley some actions...and this is just scratching the surface!
So, let's vote again! I was really in a color mood this week (after trying desperately to make some great black & white conversions....which was poorly attempted, I felt like COLOR!

Thanks for participating, are you seeing double yet!?

How can you choose?
The blue of his eyes is amazing in all the pics.
I love learning something new!! My favorite is number 8.
I don't know how you could choose either. If I HAD to pick it would be #2...that's the one I kept coming back to. It's so interesting how such a subtle color change can affect the overall effect of the picture. I'll just tell my sis-in-law to read your photo blogs and that can be her "lesson"....although I still don't think you can "teach" what you know/see/etc. Thanks again for yesterday--I can't say it enough!!!
I prefer the left hand column, the starker contrast, brighter colors, one of the top two. Beautiful pics!
I like #4 & #2
1 and 3 please. This is fun seeing what everyone chooses.
I liked 2 because of the color popping but then I liked 8 because of the softness, it is really hard to choose!

I say #4 and Aaron says #3. I really like vibrant colors as of late. Cute picture of Grant. Someday I'll start playing around with Photoshop.
4 or 8. Wow, there is so much to learn about photography!
Brighten and Color Whisper is my favorite, followed up by Old School. I think they were 3 and 6.

I think I like just plain ol' #7!
