If you are watching the nations weather patterns then you'll know that in Northern Alabama we are in an extreme drought. We are in some serious need of rain. Now, for us Westerners it's been nice, because it's been an extraordinary dry summer thus far, so none of that extreme humidity. People are praying for rain, badly. Yesterday we were showered with some just for a bit, but it was welcomed! For me that meant no hourly job of moving the hoses around the yard (still waiting on the sprinkler guy to come install the system) and for Grant that meant about 20 minutes of romping in the rain!

Amazing pictures- love it! Glad you've gotten rain.
Hey--I think that's my umbrella. I was wondering where it went! I guess you can keep it at this point :0) Glad to see you're still a true Oregonian and like the rain. -d
That is true Oregonian style right there, except for the umbrella part, but you can tell that it is just for fun, not to stay dry.
I guess it usually rain a whole lot here in Montana, and right after we had moved here, on a Saturday it sprinkled for about 15 minutes, and the next day at church, every prayer that was given had a special thanks for the rain the day before. I thought that it was pretty funny to hear that.
So glad that you got a break from your new occupation as lawn waterer.

Wow Kim, you make every kind of weather look beautiful and nostalgic with your photos. Love that pink umbrella. Who is the "d" in the comment above? It's hard for me to imagine Darin having a pink umbrella that he was attached to, so it must be Diana. :)
wow! your photographs are amazing. I think you should start selling them.

These are my favorite photos yet. Maybe it is because I am missing the rain right now and we are in the middle of a major drought. These pics are so vivid I can smell the rain. Nice pedi by the way. :)
I have to agree with Julia! I have been admiring your photography for a while now & I think these are my all-time favorites! So refreshing & crisp. The ability to make someone who does NOT miss the rain think these look fabulous enough to join in the fun is a real skill!
I often take feet shots too-and then I realize I have ugly feet. Glad that yours are cute enough to post!
