After this lovely afternoon of rolling around in the grass, guess what I found on Grant? A tick!!!! AHHHHHHH! Thank goodness I had him take a bath last night, it was right there on the crown of his head! I was mortified and quickly had something to add to the list of things I DON'T like about living in Alabama! We've heard about getting them and in fact my friend Becki had gotten one earlier this summer sitting under some trees...but have been told you only get them when you go romping through the woods (which we have not done, although we were trying to catch fireflies in at the edge of the woods the previous evening). I called the doctor this morning and was told he'll be fine and that the ticks here don't carry Lyme disease, whew! Let's hope this is the first and last one found on anyone in our household!

That one thing I hope I avoid. Ticks are jsut gross to me. Glad they don't have lyme disease. Looks like alot of fun
Oh YUCK! Alex had one several years ago. Totally disgusted me. So what was your method of getting it out?
You could add that to the list of things you HATE about Alabama. We use to get those growing up in California. I can't remember what we did to get them off.
Great photos by the way. You are so good.
Woah is that real grass! It's cut so short and perfectly, it almost looks unreal
Sorry to hear about the tick. That's no fun. Glad you found it.
OH MY GOSH!!! I am so glad you found it and apparently had no troubles removing it. I am itching now sitting here at the computer. I hope you don't have anymore run ins with those ticks!! Ang
Yikes. That is funny you have a list of things you don't like about Alabama. I have a very LONG list of things that I dont' like about California. Maybe we could swap some time! Love all of the green grass.
