Falling In Love....Again

I was gifted something very cool and couldn't be more excited! There was an extra spot or two in my camera bag, waiting to be filled and I dreamed about what lens would nestle in the perfectly padded space. Feast your eyes upon this beauty:

The most compact Nikon Micro-Nikkor lens for portrait, copy work, and field close-up applications. The close up field application is what I am most excited about, plus getting some pretty CLOSE shots of Grant's face....as if you haven't seen enough. Seriously, I can get even closer now! You may not realize how exciting this is for me. I am excited to get out and take some pictures...here are a few practice shots:

P.S. I can't believe our trip to Oregon has come to an end....we fly home tomorrow morning and I feel there is much more to say about the place I grew up, the place I have my roots, the place I still call home. We went to the Oregon coast today and it lived up to its windy expectation and I topped the day off with a night out with Amy at American Dream (Mark went and saw the Spider Man movie). It's been a nice trip, seeing family, relaxing, getting some closure to some things and just being together. Next report will be from the good old south! See you soon!

I don't really understand what the first few features of this new lens. What does it mean??? So happy for your new photography adventures!

Beautiful as always...I love the dandelion and the petal with the hole in it. Who "gifted" it to you? It wasn't one of granddad's old ones was it? -d
