Quest For A Cardinal

It was on Christmas day that we were walking around the lake as a family and I spotted a red cardinal! It was very exciting and several times since I have seen them....but not had my camera with me. I am not an animal person (that includes birds), but for whatever reason seeing these bright red birds is exciting; just as the seeing the bright Gold Finches in Corvallis. Grant and I set out this afternoon for a walk, this time with the camera in quest for a cardinal. We spotted several, but I wasn't quick enough...the shots I got I tried to run across the street while telling my child to stay on the curb (see last picture) as I zoomed in on the bird....
