My Friend Amy (and her boys...)

Today was a real treat! We got to finally go and see Amy and her boys. Grant was in heaven with John's cars and guns. I was in heaven eating Amy's delicious macaroni and cheese (take a look at her recipes mac & cheese is among them), visiting and taking pictures of her cute boys. I learned it is very HARD to get a good shot of more than one child! With two little moving kids, it was difficult, thanks Amy for letting me practice! I thoroughly enjoyed my morning and look forward to seeing you again soon!

Since I've been writing a little about each friend I post I need to say a few things about Amy. I'm not as eloquent or creative in my writing as she is, so my writing is not going to do her friendship justice. Amy came into my life in middle school and has been as much a part for all these passing years; high school prom and hurting feet, senior skip day at the beach, church outings and get togethers, roasting cockroaches on the "boys" street, road trip to Ricks to check out college options, Bend white water rafting trips, paddle boating in Albany, weddings, birth of babies, beach retreat the year we turned 30, long talks, counseling, tears, laughing...a lot of laughing. I have often marveled at the fact I was so lucky to have such close friends growing up...simply friendships made in heaven. Amy is one of those friends-beautiful inside and out.

Okay, I'm ugly crying -- at both the pictures and what you said. Thank you so much for the gift of those pictures. I will treasure them forever. You wanted to know my favorites (of these you posted)...the first one of Charlie naked and the one alone of John. The double one you did was cool with the opposite focus. I just need to figure out how to get them both to have a nice expression at the same time. Amazing! I am speechless. My mom's going to flip.

Kim these pictures are so cute. It is really hard taking pictures of multiple kids. I love the ones of Charlie naked. I also really like the one where Charlie is totally smiling and John has a cheek full of air. That is priceless. What you said was so sweet about Amy and friends. I think it is so cool that you keep in contact as well as you do. So glad that you are getting to visit so many people on your trip to Oregon. -julia
