A tradition my family did while growing up was to write out our new years goals and put them in our stockings and when we pulled out our stockings the following year for Christmas we would review the goals. There are still some old index cards in my childhood stocking written on in bubbly pre-teen handwriting, "get better at math", "learn the spinning song"....
I'm not about to post my new years resolutions, but the new year always seems to bring time of reflection, improvement, accomplishments and renewal of things we want to improve upon. A time where words like, anything is possible, each day is a new one, never give up.... hopefully our goals, desires and aspirations will ring true over this new year!
P.S. Happy Birthday Mom!

I'm not posting my goals either -- and usually I'm willing to share pretty much anything. What a great tradition, Kim. I didn't know you guys did that. I know that I have had the same goal for about the last 20 years.
Happy New Year!
Amy
