Brrrrrr! It was a very cold night, but Grant loved looking at all the lights at the Botanical Gardens with his friend. It was very pretty and felt festive! We enjoyed hot chocolate after at our friend's house.
Grant is very much into Santa this year and talks about him and his elves often. He has chosen what he wants Santa to bring: a purple piano and a semi truck with a green "P" on it (from the Publix supermarket). I said that they don't make purple pianos and he said, "Don't worry Mom, the elves will make it!" I explained to Grant that Santa doesn't bring everything or exactly what he wants, so we sat down and made a list the other day to give Santa some "ideas". Last night when he saw Santa he was a bit nervous, but then wanted his turn to sit on his lap. He said, "Mom, we forgot my message (letter) to Santa!" I told him we would mail it.
I am thankful for the spirit of Christmas, the true meaning; what adds purpose to our lives. Jesus Christ, the role and example He is to us and the pure joy the Gospel of Jesus Christ brings to my life. It doesn't have to be Christmas for me to feel that joy, but I sure love the season! Happy Holidays! Safe travel to many of you these next couple of days!
