Downtown

Mark has been working correspondence with Portland State today, so Grant and I headed to downtown Huntsville to check out Harrison Brothers Hardware. It was very cold today, much different than the last few days, so we didn't spend much time hanging out downtown. Grant was able to spot and coax Mom into buying him a bakery delivery truck. He had his choice of a toy deliver truck or the bakery one. He chose the bakery one because it delivered "delicious" things!

I have been playing around more in Photoshop, hence the borders and name insignia....bear with me.

Today I am thankful for my job. My job as a mother. Grant has been sleeping very well since the past long while (something Mark and I are very grateful for). Our routine is Mark reads him a book, we say prayers and I sing him a song, then Mark and I usually sit on our bed and talk. Last night he woke up at 3 a.m. though and called out for me. I went in and he said, "I want you and Dad to talk like you do." It warmed my heart to know that what he wanted to make him comfortable to fall back asleep was to hear his mother and father's voices talking. I told him it was the middle of the night, but did manage to sing him another song. I feel blessed to have this time with Grant--he brings me more joy than he knows!

We're off to a Chili bake and games at the church...
